COMPASS researcher Amaan Mohammad has received a Best Poster Award at the 249th ECS Meeting in Seattle for his presentation titled Aramid Nanofiber Binders for Sustainable Dry Cathodes.

The award was presented as part of Symposium A03 and recognizes poster presentations that demonstrate outstanding technical depth, clarity, and scientific impact. Amaan’s work focuses on advancing sustainable dry cathode technologies, an important area of research for next-generation battery systems.

In announcing the award, the symposium organizing committee noted that Amaan’s presentation stood out for both the quality of the research and its contribution to advancing the field.

“Amaan’s work is outstanding,” said COMPASS Director Nicholas Kotov. “It is very exciting work indeed, and I am glad people appreciated it.”

Amaan’s participation in the conference was supported by the COMPASS-JSB Travel Grant, which helps enable students and researchers to share their work with the broader scientific community through national and international conferences.
