We are proud to share that Lakshmi Yaneesha Sujeeun was awarded Best Oral Presentation at POLYCHAR 2025 for her groundbreaking work on graph theory applied to tissue engineering nanofiber scaffolds.

Her presentation, based on the paper “Predicting inflammatory response of biomimetic nanofibre scaffolds for tissue regeneration using machine learning and graph theory” (Sujeeun, Phul, Goonoo, Kotov, Bhaw-Luximon), highlights how machine learning and graph theory can help predict cellular interactions and streamline the design of biomimetic scaffolds that support successful tissue regeneration.

This recognition is an important milestone in advancing computational and materials approaches to improve health outcomes through tissue engineering.
