Casey Chason, a member of the Valev Lab and US Army Research Combat Engineer, recently received awards for his research and his contribution to operational excellence. In March 2026 he attended the TechConnect World Innovation Conference as an invited speaker after having received the Best Student Abstract Award for his work on wearable haptic hydrogels.  In parallel, for the implementation of robotic systems and resulting improvements in combat readiness and unit capability, Casey was awarded the Army Achievement Medal (AAM) by his battalion.
