Dickson attended the annual meeting of the VIP Consortium (https://vip.gatech.edu/vip-vertically-integrated-projects-program). Strathmore University just signed an MoU to join the consortium this year, so he had the pleasure of representing his university in this meeting. VIP consortium drives a model that allows undergraduate and graduate students to engage in experiential projects led by faculty of their specific universities. These projects are unique and often run for 2-3 years with new students joining as others graduate. The students working on the project get credits for their involvement and the faculty plays an advisory role such that all the innovation and solutions are implemented by the students.
His next task is to initiate/push for the launch of our first VIP project.
