We recently hosted a COMPASS-Seagate Industry Grand Challenge for students, professors, and researchers from African universities and research centers. We had a week of skill-building webinars and posted a hack-a-thon style industry challenge for participants to work on. Participants were able to present their solutions before a distinguished panel of judges. This was a great example of successful industry-academia collaboration making a meaningful impact in the lives of early career researchers.
